History is the description of a sequence of events that have occurred in the past.
Our problems with history appear when a sequence arises from a single source but a few clips are corrupted.

In this case, it's better to have multiple sources files. Sure, the data would differ by a lot, but the overview can't be missed.
We can piece together a complete perspective and deduce the missing components.

Need to try my hand with creating a historical timeline using Premiere Pro.

Not only is the timeline below viewed at a particular zoom, the same video is displayed when the scale of the timeline is reset.

Conclusion:
An overview is not the entire view.
