- J. Krishnamurti
What J. Krishnamurti seems to expound as his knowledge. his insight into the nature of life itself, feels like a worthy investment of my time and energy.
I can actually feel the waves of enlightenment washing over me as my own thoughts return to me; in a variety of flashes and words. His ideology is concerned with EVERYTHING.
In a similar POV as my own, he expects us to realize that the search for truth should be our pursuit in life since there is much left for us to explore, yet we only have one life to live.
"Choiceless self-awareness" is the way to find out about and interpret our reality as we think we know it.
The "creative reality" awaits our transcendence from a being of sentient nature to one that acquired further understanding through the process of nurture of our intellectual capacities.
The Revolution Is Now, Not Tomorrow
Self-knowledge; Know yourself if you wish to understand your relationship with the world, and thus the reality you live in.
To actively search for the truth is to wade into an endless river, and become comfortable with feeling the waters constantly changing, from one state to the other, and still remain immersed, your complete being curious about the nature of everything.
Love is not so different from the truth. Love is transformation from moment-to-moment. It can be found as a state of 'being' and not experience.
Chapter 1: Introduction
- Just as the reader and writer must reach the same level of understanding for proper communication of thoughts and ideas, there is a need for the art of listening.** Only listening can help us reconcile two different perspectives at the same level.
- The beginning of wisdom starts when we choose to listen, to become aware of, both the individual and the collective misery, and chaos that exists in this world.
- What about our reaction to this suffering? We may choose to protect ourselves from it; denying its existence as the natural disasters we ourselves have produced due to our individual actions and our inaction/lack of any action in the direction.
- To address the suffering at the societal level, we must comprehend ourselves and our relationship to one another, to society. This is required rather than following a leader or a belief; since they are borne from confusion, they can only lead us to further chaos.
- We must not seek the truth, for the truth exists as it is, in everything. We must observe everything to be aware of the problem.
- If we are to put an end to the misery, we must undergo an internal revolution, and that transformation must happen now, not tomorrow.

Chapter 2: What Are We Seeking?
- What are we seeking? In terms of our existence, we start out clueless. And then our parents/guardians guide us based on what they know about their purpose, their place in society.
- Due to the levels of privilege they had during their time, it's easy to get into their own philosophy, follow it for their lives, and extend it to their progeny as well.
- However, this has resulted in the world getting more and more complex due to more and more ideologies, diverging and clashing with each other.
- Critical introspection requires a dialectical approach, an unbiased method of analyzing the distinct modes of human living.
- This is very difficult to undertake because it requires a certain freedom of opinion and propaganda, and a concrete understanding of the way things work in our society.
- To break away from static conditioning of the mind, we need to be swift in catching up with the modern problem, which continues to cause our chaos and suffering.
- The 3 different modes of material nature (a sufficient classification for our understanding) are seldom separate anymore. They are intricately interlinked in our destinies.
